Panoramas

I haven't decided which one in going with yet...

I really like the top "long hall" panorama. It's a really great use of visual space, not only in the center hall extending into infinity, but in the side halls. This image works because it is believable to the human eye. Even though this is would never occur in real life, the dimensions of the image are credible.

This credibility makes me pause and think more than the other image, because the other one is more clearly manipulated. While both are strong images, I feel the second image might even be stronger without the manipulations, allowing the viewer to concentrate more on the extension of space.

I most like the use of the vanishing point in your horizontal image. I would love to see that image juxtaposed with the vertical one, but with the inclusion of the vanishing point, in order to create a sense of recession and narrowness in both dimensions.

There is some distortion in the vertical one, however. I don't know if that could be corrected in Photoshop, but if that photo were to be displayed with the other, such distortion would detract from the intense rectilinear-ness of the horizontal one.

I don't know how I feel about the aquarium manipulations...In any sort of composite image, I would say take them away. But as an individual image, they definitely add a sense of whimsy. Maybe you could push it farther and completely eliminate the glass tiles and include only ocean scape?
