This is a very interesting take on landscape photography. For me, the first three images are the strongest. I think their strength comes from their subtleness; they don't completely occupy the images' composition, but rather act as an impediment to the horizon. The first image is also very successful in creating a feeling of impending or looming doom because of the menacing chain and hook.

So...in revisting these photos a little after the fact, I've decided I really like the way you play with conceptions of landscape. Your photos really have a Japanese woodblock print aesthetic with the central obstruction of the viewing field. I think you push this farthest with the chain. Though it doesn't block as much of the visual field as some of the others, conceptually and intellectually, it is less sensical. Like Jay said, it implies doom or menace. It's a great feeling to get out of such tame subject matter.
